Health Export
Health Export saves your Apple Health data as files — JSON Lines or CSV — in a folder you choose in the Files app.
Using the app
- Tap Choose Folder and pick any folder in the Files app. The app remembers it.
- Choose a format (JSON Lines or CSV) and a range (all time, or the last year, 90, 30 or 7 days).
- Tap Export Health Data. The first time, Apple Health asks which data to share. Keep the app open until the export finishes — large histories can take a few minutes.
What you get
A HealthExport folder with one file per data type (for example HKQuantityTypeIdentifierHeartRate.csv), activity ring summaries, your characteristics (date of birth, sex, blood type and so on) and a manifest.json listing every file and how many records it holds. Each export replaces the previous one.
In CSV files, common fields have their own columns. Nested details such as workout routes, heartbeat series or ECG voltages are in the details column as JSON.
Only some of my data was exported
Apple Health only shares the types you allowed. When it asks how much history to share, choose All Recorded Data — otherwise only the last 30 days are available. You can change both later in Settings › Health › Data Access & Devices › Health Export.
The export stopped with an error
Apple Health data is unavailable while your iPhone is locked. The app keeps the screen on during an export; if you lock the phone yourself, run the export again.
